Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Police say an innocent bystander was shot and seriously wounded in Uptown overnight after a man reportedly opened fire on a moving on McKinney near Boll Street.
Police say a man fired at a moving car shot the innocent victim around 2am; the victim was sitting on a curb when they were hit in a spray of about 15 rounds, according to a police sergeant who was sitting in his patrol car and witnessed the shooting.
The officer jumped out of his vehicle and caught the suspect after a short chase.
The shooting happened around 2AM as bars and other establishments were closing up in the area.
At last check [5:30am] the victim was in surgery.
Dallas Police are investigating.
