Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Texas DPS troopers worked well into the overnight hours on the scene of a deadly wrong way crash on the Dallas North Tollway.
Lonny Haschel with DPS says it happened shortly around 12:12AM.
“At approximately 12:12 a.m., Highway Patrol Troopers were called to a crash on the Dallas North Tollway (DNT) in the area of Mockingbird. Preliminary investigation indicates a black Mercedes passenger vehicle was traveling south on the DNT near Mockingbird. For an as yet undetermined reason, a white Saturn passenger vehicle was traveling north in the southbound lanes of the DNT and struck the Mercedes. Where the driver of the Saturn began traveling north is not known at this time.”
It’s not yet known if alcohol was involved.
Meantime, according to WFAA in a secondary accident at the crash site, a motorist hit the back of a Scorpion truck that was blocking the scene. No word on that driver’s injuries.
