Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – The newly approved 2021-22 budget at Fort Worth ISD includes a 4% pay raise for all district employees.
Board members last night approved the increase in an effort to attract and retain teachers and employees.
Steven Pool, executive director of the United Educators Association, “The pay increase is needed and it’s what we promised the voters last fall when they voted for a tax increase,” according to the Fort Worth Star Telegram.
He added that “district employees have worked hard over the past year and handled the pandemic with grace.”
The raise will cost about $32 million.
