DALLAS – WBAP/KLIF – Parker County Sheriff’s Department has arrested 43 year old Misty Lorene Cato of Springtown in connection with having an improper relationship with a student. Sheriff Russ Authier says the victim reported the abuse began when he was a 15 year old student in Azle, and continued for several years at several addresses in both Parker and Tarrant Counties. Cato was a fifth-grade math teacher at Springtown Intermediate School, and is placed on administrative leave.
Investigators report Cato admitted having sex relations with the victim on several occasions, knowing he was a juvenile student.
Parker County’s Sheriff’s Crimes Against Children investigators will forward case information to Tarrant County investigators regarding any alleged crimes reportedly committed in their jurisdiction.
