Leander, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Law enforcement in Central Texas have taken a 19-year old man into custody accused of stabbing his mother to death during a family disturbance early this morning.
19-year old Miles Speight of Leander, near Austin was taken into custody by the nearby Cedar Park Police Department.
The search for the teen which began shortly after 5am led police to issue an alert for residents to remain in their homes. That warning has been lifted. Neither details of the arrest or the family dispute have been released at this time.
Charges against the teen are pending.
