McKinney, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – The City of McKinney is asking customers conserve water, as the city’s water supplierĀ – the North Texas Municipal Water District is experiencing higher than normal demands for the winter season.
A typical daily demand in winter is 21 million gallons per day for the city. Ysterday, the demand was 39 million gallons.
Etreme weather challenges prevented the water supply from being be replenished to the proper levels.
Te city is asking residents to continue to allow water to drip from faucets to prevent bursting pipes, but conserve water for the most essential needs.
