TARRANT COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office is mourning one of their own.
50-year-old Lieutenant Craig King died of COVID-19 Saturday after battling the virus for almost a month, officials said in a Sunday news release.
King, who was assigned to the Confinement Division, started working for the office in 2003 and was promoted to lieutenant in 2019.
The TCSO’s Lieutenant Jennifer Gabbert said it’s a tremendous loss.
“He will be greatly missed,” she said. “Please keep family, friends and co-workers of Lieutenant King in your thoughts and prayers in the coming days.”
Funeral arrangements are pending.
The Fort Worth Police Officer’s Association expressed their condolences on social media.
