(Dallas) WBAY/KLIF – TxDot is closing managed express lanes in Texas with a fierce winter storm blowing in late this afternoon.
Txdot is asking metroplex drivers to plan ahead for the evening commute with potential for rain that could transition to freezing rain or sleet overnight, or, just freeze on roads after coming down.
WFAA-TV reports it’s unclear if the closures of tollroads are a response to a deadly pileup of several vehicles on ice-impacted toll lanes of interstate 35 back in 2021; the largest chain-reaction crash in the history of north texas.
