DALLAS — After going out of the game against the Rockets, the Dallas Mavericks have provided an update on the Anthony Davis injury.
What was originally listed as a “lower body injury” has now been clarified as a left adductor strain. Adductors are the muscles on the inner thigh that connect to the femur. The Mavs have Davis listed as out against the Sacramento Kings on Monday, according to the injury report.
NBA insider Marc Stein reported that Davis’ injury could hold him out for an indefinite period, and ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that he is expected to miss “multiple weeks” that could “stretch to a month.”
