(WBAP/KLIF) – A group of lawyers sued the state on behalf of nearly 12,000 foster children alleging that the state was failing to find them homes, and failing to properly investigate reports of abuse. US District Judge Janice Jack has presided over the case since it was filed in 2011, and has issued several orders aimed at widespread reform.
Last April, she ruled that the state was in contempt of court for violating two of her orders, and fined the state $100,000 dollars per day. Friday’s ruling reverses that order and fine.
