Man Injured in Officer-Involved Shooting in Arlington

ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF News ) – The Arlington Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened late Monday night at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of East Lamar Boulevard.

Investigators said officers responded to reports of a suspicious person who was reportedly looking into several cars in the parking lot around 9 p.m.

The caller told dispatchers the suspect may be armed.

According to a news release; when officers arrived, they approached a man who allegedly displayed a gun.

Two officers then fired their weapons, striking the man, police said.

The suspect was taken to a local hospital. There’s no update on his condition at this time.

No officers were injured.

The Arlington Police Department said it will release more information on Tuesday.
