TARRANT COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF News ) – One person is dead after a small plane plummeted into Eagle Mountain Lake Monday afternoon.
It happened at the north end of the lake near Lakeside Drive.
In a statement, the Federal Aviation Administration said the single-engine Champion 7EC crashed into the lake around 12:40 p.m.
The pilot, who was the only one on the plane, was killed, according to the Tarrant Water Regional District.
There’s no word yet on the identity of the pilot or where he was going.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the FAA are investigating.
