FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Fort Worth police are asking anyone with information to come forward as they investigate a deadly shooting near the Stockyards early Sunday morning.
The department said one person was killed and at least three others were injured when someone shot into a crowd at a parking lot near Northwest 24th Street and North Main Street around 3 a.m.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found one deceased individual and the injured were rushed to nearby hospitals.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the person who was killed as 18-year-old Joseph Padilla. He had just celebrated his 18th birthday on Saturday.
Fort Worth police records show 19-year-old Kevin Aguilar has been arrested on a murder charge in connection to that shooting.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
