(WBAP/KLIF) – DALLAS, TX – According to a city funded study, rent in Dallas went up an average of 16% during the height of the pandemic. For renters who want to pay less than a thousand dollars a month, there are 100,000 fewer places to choose from compared to 2017. The study also found that prospective home buyers need to make at least $100-thousand dollars a year in order to afford a typical house in Dallas. City council members are worried if the cost of living here keeps going up, people will move out of Dallas.
