Over 40 States Are Demanding a Surgeon General Warning on Social Media Apps

(WBAP/KLIF) – A bipartisan group of attorney generals from 42 different states signed a letting calling for congress to require surgeon general warning labels on social media apps. In the letter they stated that the algorithms on social media platforms threatens the safety of young adults by feeding the mental health crisis. Several states have already taken legal action against some companies including Tik-Tok, and Facebook and Instagram’s parent company Meta.
