A Dallas Police Officer Killed, Two Others Wounded in Shootout

(WBAP/KLIF) — A Dallas police officer is dead after a shooting late last night.

Dallas police are investigating a late night shooting that left an officer and a suspect dead, and two other officers hurt. Kristin Lowman with DPD says a suspect with a long gun shot at two officers after they found another officer shot in a patrol car.

Dallas police say the officer was found shot in his marked patrol vehicle near the Oak Cliff community late last night and later died. Responding officers exchanged gunfire with the suspect and two additional officers were shot. After the suspect drove away, police pursued him into Lewisville and then shot and killed the suspect.
