DENTON (WBAP/KLIF) – The City of Denton is entering a more restrictive stage of water conservation. Stage Two Water Conservation measures are now in place where businesses and residents can only water their lawns and gardens on certain days of the week.
This is because of ongoing work to make repairs on damaged filters at the Lake Lewisville treatment facility which has reduced treatment capacity.
The City is asking residents to fix any leaks and reduce water usage as much as possible.
The City will be watching and enforcing the outdoor irrigation restrictions as much as possible.
Residents can do it on Tuesdays with an address ending in an even number and Wednesdays with an address ending in an odd number. Businesses are split with even numbers on Mondays and odd numbers on Thursdays.
Watering also can only be done between 6:00pm and 10:00am.
