Fort Worth’s City Manager to Retire

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) – Fort Worth will soon be looking for a new City Manager.

After serving as City Manager for over ten years, David Cooke is retiring.

After being first reported by the Fort Worth Report, the city later confirmed the news.

A statement from Cooke called his ten years at the top of city staff as incredible and a fulfilling journey.

Cooke has been the City Manager since coming on board in June of 2014.

It is expected that more will be made public about Cooke’s planned retirement and the city’s plan for a new manager in the coming days.
