(WBAP/KLIF) – DALLAS, TX – DART crews have completed critical repairs to the rail tracks near I-345 and South Good Latimer Expressway, after a fire engine fell from the highway onto the tracks below. Repair technicians had to remove debris, replace poles and critical wiring, and reestablish power.
The accident impacted DART Rail service to the Arts District, Cityplace, Deep Ellum, Union Station, Victory Station, and the West End. DART officials stated that passengers may experience delays while service is reestablished to the six affected stations in the Central Business District. Staff members will be present at each station to help answer any questions.
