Jerry Jones Appeared in Federal Court for a Lawsuit That Stems From Paternity Disputes

(WBAP/KLIF) – TEXARKANA, TX – On Monday, attorneys for both Jerry Jones and Alexandra Davis presented opening statements for jurors. The case focuses on whether Alexandra and her mother, Cynthia Davis breached a contract with Jerry Jones. That agreement prohibited Davis and her mother from suing to establish paternity, or speaking about the terms of the deal. Alexandra tried to sue Jones for defamation but a judge dropped that case, and now Jones is counter suing.

During opening statements, attorneys for Jerry Jones argued that he upheld his part of the agreement. Attorneys for Alexandra and her mother suggested that Jones broke the ultimate promise to his wife, and the deal was created to hide the truth from his family.

Attorneys for Jones also stated that Alexandra Davis violated a contract stating that she wouldn’t sue him, and that she accepted 30% of her promised trust fund which solidified the agreement. However, attorneys for Davis stated that the agreement was made by her mother, Cynthia Davis back in 1998.
