(WBAP/KLIF) – Nearly two weeks after Hurricane Beryl made landfall, Center Point Energy has finally restored power to customers in Southeast Texas. On Saturday afternoon, the company stated that the only people left without power are those with too much damage for their homes to be repaired.

Initially, more than 2 million customers lost power when the category one storm hit the Texas coast. Many were left in the dark with no air conditioning in the extreme heat. Several people died from heat related illnesses.
