Dallas FBI Seeks Public’s Help Amid Search For Serial Bank Robber Dubbed “Derby Desperado”

DALLAS(WBAP/KLIF News ) – The Dallas division of the FBI needs the public’s help to catch a bank robber dubbed the “Derby Desperado.

FBI Dallas said the first robbery occurred on July 3, 2024 around 1:30 p.m. The suspect made off with cash from the Texans Credit Union on Telecom Parkway in Garland.

On July 12, 2024, the same man robbed a Capital One Bank on Forest Lane in Dallas around 1:45 p.m..

Each time he used the same disguise, passed the same note and took off in a dark colored SUV, according to a news release.

The man is white or has light skin with green or hazel eyes, dark thick eyebrows, 5’7″ to 5’9″, with stocky build.

He wore a dark-colored suit, white shirt, dark tie with light-colored stripes, brown shoes, a light fedeora-style hat with a dark band, a white KN95 or surgical mask and blue surgical gloves.

During the Dallas robbery, he wore a dark-colored suit, dark shirt and a light or yellow tie.
