NORTH TEXAS (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Independence Day celebrations are being held across DFW today.
A number of cities are providing residents with a safe way to enjoy live music, food, games, water activities and fireworks.
The 59th Annual July 4th Parade in downtown Arlington kicks off at 9 a.m.
Six Flags over Texas will have live entertainment on the Carousel Stage from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., before a fireworks show at 9:30.
In Dallas, Fair Park is hosting a July 4th celebration from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fair Park Fourth will feature hands-on activities for kids, live music, local market vendors and food trucks.

Fort Worth residents can head to the Panther Island Pavilion from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. to hear some live music, go tubing in the Trinity River and catch the city’s firework’s show.
Tubing will be allowed from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Plano’s All American 4th event will take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Collin Colleges Spring Creek Campus, offering free kids activities and a fireworks show.

Flower Mound is hosting a Children’s Parade and Independence Fest. The parade starts at 10 a.m. and the festival is from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Grammy-nominated country singer/songwriter Pat Green will headline a concert.

McKinney is hosting its Red, White & Boom festival. The festivities will begin with a parade through downtown McKinney and a block party from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There will be another party and fireworks show at Gabe Nesbitt Community Park from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
