ROUND ROCK (WBAP/KLIF News ) – The search continues for the suspect involved in a shooting at an Juneteenth festival in Round Rock Saturday night.
Two people were killed and fourteen were injured when shots were fired around 10:50 p.m. at the celebration at the Lakeview Pavilion and Old Settlers Park.
Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks said the shooting marred what was supposed to be a joyous occasion.
“It is unfortunate that we are here celebrating a wonderful event and we have a tragedy that happens,” he said.
Investigators said the shooting erupted after an altercation between two groups.
Police said the suspect is black, 5’7″ tall, thin build, 19 to 20 years old, has short dreadlocks and was last seen wearing a white hoodie.
The suspect is considered “armed and dangerous” and is advising residents not to approach him.
Most of those injured have been released from hospitals and the remaining victims are in stable condition.
The victims’ ages ranged from 10 to 62 years old.
At a Sunday press conference, Chief Banks had a message for the gunman.
“Turn yourself in,” he said. “If you’re man enough to carry a gun and pull the trigger, be man enough to step up. Turn yourself in.”

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects involved.
