High Water and Storm Damage Has Caused Officials to Lewisville Lake Park

(WBAP/KLIF) – LEWISVILLE, TX – The rising water level of Lake Lewisville along with tree damage caused by the storms earlier in the week has prompted officials to close Lewisville Lake Park. Officials with the Lewisville Parks and Recreation Department have also closed several boat ramps including the Tower Bay Boat Ramp since the higher lake levels have made it difficult to navigate the ramps safely. While maintenance teams are working to remove debris and repair the park’s infrastructure, it is currently unclear when the park will reopen to the public.
