WHILE MOST EVERYONE’S FOCUSED ON THE TOTAL ECLIPSE, WE’LL HAVE ABOUT 3 HOURS AFTER THE ECLIPSE TO GET READY FOR A 48-HOUR SEVERE WEATHER..THE BIGGEST SO FAR THIS SEASON.  A STRONG, NEGATIVELY-TILTED STORM SYSTEM WILL LAUNCH MULTIPLE DISTURBANCES INTO NORTH AND CENTRAL TEXAS STARTING THIS AFTERNOON, CONTINUING TONIGHT, THROUGH TUESDAY, ENDING SOMETIME WEDNESDAY.  MULTI-INCH RAINFALLS OF 3-5” OF RAIN WILL LIKELY ACCUMULATE TO CAUSE STREET FLOODING.

BUT DURING THE STORMS, CONDITIONS WILL BE RIGHT FOR LARGE HAIL (2”OR MORE), DAMAGING WINDS (70 MPH), ISOLATED SUPERCELLS AND TORNADOES..AT NIGHT.  NIGHTTIME TORNADOES ARE THE MOST DANGEROUS AS PEOPLE ARE NOT MAINTAINING A WATCH.
