HOUSTON – (WBAP/KLIF) – Governor Greg Abbott announces Texas is stepping back into a leading role of space exploration; creating the new “Texas Space Commission”.
Abbott says Texas will be the launchpad for Mars…in his words, “As we look to the future of space, those who reach for the stars, do so from the Lone Star State; The Great State of Texas”.
The annoucement followed a live exchange at NASA between Abbott and Houston-based astronaut Loral O’Hara aboard the International Space Station.
