TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Police say a man suspected of fatally shooting three family members in the Philadelphia area has been arrested in New Jersey after evading law enforcement for hours.
Steve Wilson is police director for the city of Trenton. Wilson says the suspect was arrested near a house where officers had believed he was still barricaded inside. He says the suspect apparently left the home before the police cordon was erected.
Officials said they couldn’t yet speak to a motive for the attacks. The suspect’s stepmother, the mother of his children and his 13-year-old sister were killed and his children’s grandmother was injured.
