An Arlington woman is being charged with endangering her disabled patients.
49-year-old Regla “Su” Becquer owns Love and Caring for People, LLC., a service for adults who need daily, supervised care.
Police say they believe at least thirteen people have died at boarding homes operated by Becquer since 2022.
The deaths allegedly occurred at four unlicensed bed and board homes connected to Love and Caring for People.
One victim, who has cerebral palsy, says she cut her own wrists out of desperation to get to the hospital. She claims she was left to sleep on a mattress, covered in her own feces
She says she also texted a friend saying she was being held against her will in the home, but was given a “minty unprescribed medication” to prevent her from escaping.
And since then, other victims have come forward saying that they also told relatives they believed they were being poisoned.
Hospitals generally refer patients to these types of unlicensed community living homes when they don’t meet the criteria for care at a licensed group home.
Becquer has been charged with abusing and endangering her disabled tenants.
