The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of former President Trump when it comes to restoring his spot on Colorado’s 2024 presidential primary ballot.
This new ruling says states cannot invoke a post-civil war constitutional provision to keep presidential candidates from appearing on ballots, and that that power resides with congress.
The outcome ends efforts in Colorado, Illinois, Maine and elsewhere to kick Trump off the ballot because of his attempts to undo his loss in the 2020 election to President Joe Biden, which led to the January 6th attack on the capitol.
