(WBAP/KLIF) — The two front-runners in the 2024 Presidential Race are conducting dueling border visits, Thursday.
Both projected Republican nominee and Former President Donald Trump along with Democrat candidate President Joe Biden will visit the Southern border. SMU political science professor Matthew Wilson says that former President Trump wants to highlight what he feels is a disaster at the border. Meanwhile, he feels President Biden’s visit is meant to show his concern for the effects that the border crisis is having on the nation as a whole. Wilson indicates that the president is in a difficult situation in regards to fixing the border crisis. He also says that Trump will focus on the negative effects of illegal immigration, especially crime.
Both presidential candidates are scheduled to visit the border, Thursday.
