DENTON (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Denton police are crediting the quick actions of two of its officers who saved a woman’s life on Monday.
It happened just before 2:30 a.m. along I-35 west just south of Vintage Boulevard.
A driver spotted a car fly off a bridge and called 911.
According to the Denton Police Department, Officers Lopez and Hupp responded to the scene, spotted the car overturned in a nearby creek and quickly leapt into action.
Body camera footage shows officers asking the woman if she’s alright.
According to police, Officer Lopez broke the driver’s side window and pulled the woman, who was the only one in the car, out.
Medics treated her for non-life threatening injuries. A DWI investigation is underway.
