HOUSTON (AP) — Houston police have released body camera footage from officers who exchanged gunfire with a woman who opened fire at celebrity pastor Joel Osteen’s Houston megachurch earlier this month before she was gunned down. The footage was taken from two of its off-duty officers working security at Lakewood Church — along with video from a sheriff’s deputy.
Police say 36-year-old Genesse Moreno entered the church with her 7-year-old son and opened fire Feb. 11. The woman was shot and killed by officers, and two people including her son were injured in the shooting. The boy remains hospitalized. Houston Police Chief Troy Finner said questions about the shooting remained unanswered, including Moreno’s motive.
