American Airlines, Former Flight Attended Hit with Second Lawsuit Over Secret Bathroom Recordings of Young Girls

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Fort Worth-based American Airlines is facing a second lawsuit in connection to a former flight attendant accused of filming young girls in the bathroom on the planes he was working on.

The family of a 9-year-old Austin girl say 37-year-old Estes Thompson secretly filmed her on his phone in January when she used the lavatory during a flight while on a trip to Disneyland in California.

In a lawsuit filed Tuesday against the Fort Worth-based carrier and Thompson, the family alleges that Thompson went into the bathroom and before the child and said he needed to “clean up a mess.”

The suit said the girl went in afterward and that’s when Thompson allegedly filmed her.

In a lawsuit filed Tuesday, the family of the nine-year-old said they became aware of the disturbing incident when the FBI informed them of the crime.

Estes had been arrested for allegedly doing the same thing to a 14-year-old girl last September during a flight from Charlotte to Boston. Her family filed a lawsuit against American Airlines and Thompson.

Authorities said Thompson has images from four victims whose ages range from seven to 14 on his iCloud account from January 2023 to August of 2023.

Thompson remains jailed on charges in connection to the incidents.
