Two women have been charged in connection to a shooting at an Irving apartment complex that left one mother and daughter dead.
Police say 35-year-old Hector Paguada, also known as Hector Matute, killed 55-year-old Juana Medina Rodriguez and 23-year-old Nayeli Medina at Park Springs Apartments on West Irving Boulevard on January 19th.
“This was a situation where he killed two people in cold blood,” Media Affairs Coordinator, Delaney Brey, said. “And he has avoided arrest since then.”
Paguada is wanted on capital murder charges.
The two people charged with helping him avoid arrest are 34-year-old Nicole Tome and 30-year-old Yudi Ruiz.
“We can’t go into details about how exactly they helped Hector because now these are two separate investigations that are ongoing,” Brey said. “What I can tell you is that they helped him the night of the murder. And they were aware that the murder had taken place when they were helping Hector.”
