Another North Texas restaurant is accusing DayBreak Cafe in Fort Worth of stealing its equipment.
According to WFAA, Paul Checkeye, who is the owner of Grease Monkey Burger in Arlington, says someone at the cafe stole his $30,000 smoker trailer from the parking lot of his business last month.
This comes after what Checkeye says is the same white van that stole from Panther City BBQ on New Year’s Day.
The Owner of Panther City, Chris Magallanes, reportedly used a GPS tracker to find his stolen trailer in the lot next to the DayBreak Cafe.
He says he spent weeks surveying the lot next to the café and keeping track of the white van, which he said returned multiple times with other trailers, including at least one other reported stolen.
Owner of DayBreak Cafe, Mario Garcia, denies any involvement in the thefts.
Arlington police say they’re working with Fort Worth police to see whether or not the thefts from Grease Monkey Burger and Panther City BBQ are tied together.
