Texas Bakery Employees Sent to Hospital After Carbon Monoxide Report

FORT WORTH, TX – (WBAP/KLIF) – A Fort Worth bakery was filled with fire crews as they responded to a carbon monoxide leak. The Guanajuato Bakery opened at 6 A.M. on Thursday morning, but around 8:30 people started getting sick.

Around 10:30 the Fort Worth Fire department received a call about the leak at the bakery. Eighteen people were taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure to make sure they did not have carbon monoxide poisoning. All eighteen patients were alert and conscious and are expected to be okay.

The health department will now determine when the bakery can safely reopen.
