Universal Announces New Park Name in Frisco

FRISCO (WBAP/KLIF) – The North Texas economy just got another shot in the arm with groundbreaking underway of the recently-announced Universal theme park in Frisco which will be called Universal Kids Resort.

Molly Murphy, President of Universal Creative, says this park is unique to other Universal parks as it is designed with children in mind.

“We have worked very closely with the City of Frisco and local partners,” Murphy said.

Universal Kids Resort is geared toward entertaining the entire family.

Thousands of jobs are expected to be created once the park opens and in the meantime 2,500 new construction jobs are anticipated.

“There are going to be their favorites characters that they can meet and greet, there’s going to be fun themed food and beverage, there will be unique merchandise, there will be rides,” Murphy said.

There is no opening date as of now.
