7 People Injured in Shooting Near Prairie View A&M University

WALLER COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Authorities are investigating a shooting at a trail ride event celebrating Prairie View A & M University’s homecoming which left at least seven people injured around 10 p.m. on Sunday.

According to a Facebook post by the Waller County Sheriff’s Office, the large gathering at FM 362 and Cameron Road was not an official university event but was approved by the county judge.

The conditions of those victims are unknown at this time and some of them are reportedly children as young as 13 and 8.

No details about a suspect or suspects have been released at this time.
