Texas Rangers Win Franchise First World Series

(WBAP/KLIF) – The Texas Rangers won the World Series for the first time in franchise history on Wednesday night in Arizona.

The Rangers were the first to put points on the board in the seventh inning. In the top of the 9th the Rangers moved ahead by 5.

Final score Rangers 5 Arizona 0.

Fans lined up outside sporting goods store to get their hands on championship merchandise.

Former President George Bush has issued a statement congratulating the Texas Rangers on their World Series win. The Statement reads:

“AS A TEXAS RANGERS FAN, I AM THRILLED FOR TEXAS RANGERS FANS TONIGHT. I CONGRATULATE THE OWNERS, THE MANAGERS AND COACHING STAFF, THE FRONT OFFICE, AND THE ENTIRE ORGANIZATION. AND OF COURSE, I CONGRATULATE THE PLAYERS OF THIS AWESOME TEAM ON WINNING THE FIRST WORLD SERIES IN OUR CLUB’S HISTORY. THIS WAS BASEBALL AT ITS FINEST, AND LAURA AND I ARE PROUD OF THIS TEAM.”

The City Of Arlington will honor the Rangers with a parade and ceremony Friday November 3rd with a scheduled start time of 12:15 PM.
