(WBAP/KLIF) — The Texas Rangers have defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 7-1, today, to punch their ticket to the American League Division Series.
Texas wins the best-of-three series two games to none to advance past the first round for the first time in 12 years when the Rangers played in the 2011 World Series.
Josh Jung went 3 for 4 with a double and triple in the victory, while rookie Evan Carter hit a two-run home run. The ALDS against the Baltimore Orioles begins on Saturday at 2pm.
