Heat Changes Fort Worth Zoo & Botanic Garden Hours

(WBAP/KLIF) — The Texas heat has shifted hours of two popular cultural district attractions.

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden and Fort Worth Zoo have decided to open and close a little earlier in an attempt to make the visitor’s experience more comfortable. Botanic Garden CEO Patrick Newman says they’ve installed additional drinking fountains, water bottle filling stations, and operate an air-conditioned shuttle to transport guests to different sections of the garden. Both locations will close at 4:00 p.m. weekdays and 5:00 p.m. on the Saturday and Sunday. The Fort Worth Zoo opens will open its doors at 9:00 a.m., while the Botanic Garden opens daily at 8:00 a.m.

The zoo also offers shaded pathways, extra fans and misters to keep visitors cool.
