FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Fort Worth police are investigating two separate shootings that left three dead and more than a dozen others injured during parties last night.
Captain Shawn Murray said eleven people were shot during an annual Fourth of July event in the 3400 block of Horne Street near Houghton Avenue in the Como neighborhood just before midnight.
Three people didn’t survive. It’s believed that 10 of the victims are adults and one is a juvenile.
Investigators are asking anyone with video or information about the incident to come forward. Tipsters can contact the Fort Worth Police Department’s Homicide Unit at 817-392-4330 or Crime Stoppers.
Police were also called to a home on Christine Avenue just west of Titus Paulsel Park, where an argument at a party escalated into a gunfight between two people just after 10.
At least five people were shot in the cross fire, including a couple who were driving away from the scene.
One person has been arrested in that incident and the Gang Unit is investigating.
