AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF) – The State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League met Monday morning to hand down decisions on possible rules violations against Duncanville High School’s boys and girls basketball programs.

Duncanville High School Head Girls Basketball Coach LeJeanna Howard was issued a one-year suspension, three years probation, and a public reprimand for violation of UIL Constitution and Contest Rules Section 409, which incudes recruiting.

Duncanville High School Athletic Director Dwight Weaver was given a public reprimand and the Duncanville High School Girls Basketball program was also given three years probation and will be suspended from post-season play for the 2022-23 season for the same violation.

The Duncanville High School Boys Basketball program was ordered to forfeit all games in which an ineligible player participated during the 2021-22 season for violation of UIL Constitution and Contest Rules Section 29(b)(3)(b), Forfeiture of Contest. This includes the 2022 Conference 6A Boys Basketball State Championship. McKinney High School will now be designated the conference 6A state champion by the UIL. The game will be listed as a 2-0 win in favor of McKinney in tournament records and all state tournament records for that game will be expunged.

Duncanville High School Head Boys Basketball Coach David Peavy was issued a one year suspension, three years probation, and a public reprimand for violation of UIL Constitution and Contest Rules Section 51(a), School District Personnel Violations.

The committee reserved the right to revisit possible school sanctions at a later date.
