Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – Fort Worth police released bodycam footage of an officer-involved shooting Sunday during a police chase the started in central Texas on I-35.
An officer shot and killed the suspect who was the passenger holding the female driver of the car hostage at gunpoint. She had already shot her once
When Fort Worth police approached they heard another gun shots.
Video show sthe man did not drop his gun; footage also shows that the gun the suspect was holding was not loaded.
Tthe victim, 31-year-old Shaelan Hill, of Austin died. The suspect was identified as 38-year-old J’qunnton Hopson.
The chase had reached up to 100 m.p.h., traveling north on I-35 from Troy, Texas near Austin.
An investigation continues.
