Another Monkeypox Warning For North Texas

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas County Health Department is urging north Texas residents to keep an eye out for monkeypox symptoms. The agency says an out-of-state visitor with monkeypox told it he had multiple sexual encounters at a Dallas club in June. According to the health department that infected person described himself to them as a man who has sex with other men. He was infectious while entertaining himself in the sauna at Club Dallas between June 22-25. His case is separate from an earlier announced monkeypox case involving an out-of-state visitor who was in town for the Daddyland Festival over the Fourth of July weekend.
Symptoms of monkeypox include fever, swollen lymph nodes, and general body aches before developing a rash.
