The Haltom City Police Department is investigating an officer involved shooting that occurred in the 5300 block of Diamond Oaks Drive North.
This is an active call and details surrounding the initial 9-1-1 call have not yet been released. We do know that officers were called to the location just before 7:00pm this evening and an officer involved shooting occurred.
At least two officers have been shot and injured. They have been transported to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Haltom City PD and numerous agencies are actively searching for the suspect described as a white male wearing a blue shirt, blue pants, and a baseball hat. He is wearing a backpack and may still be armed with a long gun. DPS-101 helicopter is assisting with the search.
