Triple Shooting at a Hair Salon in Koreatown

(WBAP/KLIF) — A triple shooting in Dallas’ Koreatown has residents on edge.

Dallas police are searching for a man who shot three women inside a Northwest Dallas hair salon Wednesday afternoon.

Dallas officer W. C. Mitchell says the suspect parked across the street and walked into the ‘Hair World’ salon at around 2pm, Wednesday, yelled something, and then fired several shots that struck the salon owner, an employee and a customer.

All three women are expected to recover, however Mitchell says tensions are high in the community. The suspect is described as a black man driving a dark colored or maroon minivan type vehicle.

Dallas Police Department Release:

On May 11, 2022, at approximately 2:20 p.m., Dallas police responded to the shooting at the Hair World Salon located at 2216 Royal Lane.  Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that an unknown Black male dressed in all black walked into the business and began shooting.  Three female victims were shot and transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The suspect is described as a Black male approximately 5’7” to 5’10”, thin build with curly medium length hair and a connecting beard.  He left the scene in an unknown maroon minivan.  Anyone with information regarding this offense is encouraged to contact Detective Timothy Johnston, #8977, at 214-671-3523 or [email protected].  Please reference case #083494-2022.
