Members Of The Dallas Firefighters Union Are Tired Of Waiting For Their Money.

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas Fire Fighters Association says hundreds of its members still haven’t been paid for the overtime they worked last December and January when COVID-19 hit Dallas Fire-Rescue especially hard. Before December, city policy was to use the overtime earned by a firefighter to cancel the cost of sick leave if that firefighter caught COVID. That policy changed, but the city payroll department kept operating under the old system. The city manager’s office says it will catch up with the payments, but the union says its members are tired of waiting.
