MESQUITE (WBAP/KLIF News ) – A youth pastor at the Inspiration Church in Mesquite has been arrested after allegations surfaced about an ongoing sexual assault of a child.
Investigators said 32-year-old Conner “Jesse” Penny allegedly had sexual contact with a girl under the age of 17 on several occasions between 2015 and 2018.
Penny was initially arrested on April 5th and police said since then additional victims have made similar accusations against him that allegedly occurred between 2013 and 2021.
Prior to working at the church, Penny worked for the Mesquite Independent School District and the City of Mesquite as a teacher’s aide and a counselor through the Recreational After School Program.
Penny is being held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2.5 million bond for one count each of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child, Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and Indecency with a Child.
